Takin’ it to Tremblant or How I Survived the Bears & Beavers

Took a last minute trip to Tremblant with some of my lovely new friends from work.

Me, Brit and Kat at Tremblant

The adventure started in the creepiest B&B I’ve ever seen. I mean, this place made The Cabin in the Woods look like the Ritz at first glance. It wasn’t completely finished inside and everything was very…rustic. It kinda reminded me of a frat house – the even had a dart bord, ping pong table and lots of OLD boardgames. The beds were comfy, it was a reasonably price and the place was pretty quiet but it totally caught me off guard. I’m such a snob.

That said, they served up a might fine breakfast!

And in the cold light of day the place was actually quite nice. Check out the Facebook page for Bears & Beavers B&B. The staff were pretty amazing too. I somehow managed to leave my iPhone docking station behind and Jean-Yves sent it to me in the post right away.

Off we went into town to enjoy Mt. Tremplant in all its ski resort glory. We grabbed some grub at Microbrasserie La Diable and tasty treat at Made In France the next day. The gang went sledding down the enormous hill our cottage was built on, we cooked some great meals together, played some Wii, had a few drinks and had a really great time. I’m super grateful for fun new friends!

This is the full story of my Slimband journey from the fatness to the fitness and everything in between! I had Lap-band surgery at the Slimband Clinic in Toronto with Dr. Yau in April 2010 and boy has it been an adventure! This is where I tell the tale.
